Director for Children and Youth Ministries

We are seeking a new Director for Children and Youth Ministries, who will engage faith formation for children and youth and pastoral support for their families with energy, intelligence, imagination, and love. This is a part-time job (20 hrs/week), with an effective start date of August 4, 2026. The salary range is $18,000-$23,000, based on experience and education. Essential Functions:

• Build relationships with our children, youth, and their families.
• Manage Sunday School for K-12, including: recruit, train, support, and nurture volunteer teachers; create child-friendly environments; and order, prepare, and maintain curriculum.
• Engage visitors with children and youth.
• Lead Children’s Time during worship.
• Coordinate children’s and youth participation in worship, especially for Youth Sunday & Children’s Sunday.
• Plan and execute children and youth events monthly or seasonally.
• Maintain records for our Child Protection Policy and trained volunteers; schedule annual training.
• Organize and refill as appropriate children’s bookshelf.
• Supervise the Nursery staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certificate, degree, or experience in education or Christian education
• Proficiency in computer skills and programs (Google Suite, Canva, basic word processing skills)
• Basic knowledge of social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
