University of Texas at Arlington
architecture students have developed
designs for Westminster that emphasize a natural closeness to God.
The
exterior designs are lush, feature lots of native trees and plants
and
a connection to our God through nature. The interior concepts bring
the people of Westminster closer to God with light and open spaces.
The final proposals developed by the students over the course
of an
entire semester's work were unveiled for church members at a formal
presentation at the UTA Architecture Building on Friday, May 7.
The
students, led by Professor Gary O. Robinette and Program Director
Rebecca L. Boles, hosted about 20 church members, including Pastor
Sharon Gearing and Jimmy George, who has facilitated the work
by the
students at the church.
