K
– 3rd Grade – Jill Rawhouser and Emmy Klein
Bible Quest, an ecumenical curriculum designed
to share the gospel. It is based on four major themes within the
Bible: incarnation, covenant and relationship, liberation and justice,
and salvation. Bible Quest’s objective is to help all Christians
connect with the Bible in such a way that it relates to their lives
and life experiences. It illustrates to participants how to live
in the world as disciples of Jesus Christ.

The nursery is open every Sunday
from 9:45 to 12:15 so parents of very young children may participate
in worship and Christian Education. Pagers are available to notify
parents (in silent mode) if they are needed in the nursery.

I KNOW MY BIBLE -
This study is designed to help participants know where the major
Bible stories are and see how the Bible flows from book to book.
Each section is followed by a review. As each section is completed,
bookmarks are presented to participants for them to keep and use
for their own personal Bible study. The seven units are titled:
1. The Torah
2. Hebrew History
3. Hebrew Wisdom
4. Prophets
5. Gospels
6. The Early Church
7. Letters to the Early Church
May 11 - Unit 4 - Prophets
This unit is on the prophets in Israel's past. Special attention
is given to Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Hosea, Joel and Amos.
Unit 4 concludes the focus on Hebrew Scripture with a review game.

Vacation Bible School
Vacation
Bible School is held one week each summer, traditionally each evening,
Monday through Friday, 6-8:30 p.m. Bible stories, music, crafts,
recreation and snacks all reflect the chosen theme for the year.

Strip” Themed study. Bring your current comic strip page from
your local newspaper and be ready to enjoy a lively discussion! |
