Library.

Class One,
led by Bill Cobb
May 18 – June 29
Religion and Politics - Both religion and politics seek to address
our human life together. No wonder the lines often get blurred. Faith
communities seek a life in abundance for all people, including the
weakest members of society. They also seek to help children of God
treat one another with justice. Likewise, governments are the forum
where citizens work to create a society where justice reigns so that
liberty and justice for all truly happen. Click here

New Members Class
This class is for our newest members and anyone else who wants to
attend. It is a four-week course designed to lead a new member through
many of the essential elements of Christian Belief and to help new
members understand how WPC works and become active in our ministries. |
| Class Two, led
by Jack Boger. Basic Principles of “The Present Word”
- The Present Word is from beginning to end a Bible study series.
Teachers and learners come together to reflect on the biblical text
and to act on what they discover there. The sessions feature the great
celebrations of the Christian church, which rehearse the life of Christ
and bring to believers the significant events of that life.
March 2 – March 30 Unit 1: Signs of God’s Covenant
April 6 – 27 Unit II: The Covenant in Exile
May 4 – May 25 Restoration and Covenant Renewal
The Present Word is published quarterly by PC USA and is a part
of the Uniform Lesson Series 2007-2012.

Wandering Pilgrims Class.
May 2008
Dallas Willard’s “The Great Omission” – The
last command Jesus gave before he ascended to heaven was the Great
Commission, the call to "make disciples of all the nations."
But Christians have responded by making "Christians," not
"disciples." This, according to renowned Christian thinker
Dallas Willard, has been the church's Great Omission. Drawing upon
previously published articles from magazines such as Christianity
Today and Leadership Journal as well as remarks given at various conferences,
Willard challenges the thought that we can be Christians without being
disciples. He calls on believers to restore what should be the heart
of Christianity - being active disciples of Jesus Christ. Willard
shows us that in the school of life, we are apprentices of the Teacher
whose brilliance encourages us to rise above traditional church understanding
and embrace the true meaning of discipleship - an active, concrete,
24/7 life with Jesus.
